Commercial Plywood — General-Purpose Panels
Poplar, combi or hardwood core with okoume, bintangor, pine or poplar face — calibrated and sanded both sides.
Indicative FOB reference. Final price depends on core, glue class, volume and freight at time of order.
Request a quotation→Commercial plywood is the general-purpose construction grade of plywood: an odd number of veneer layers with a poplar, combi or hardwood core, faced with a decorative or utility species such as okoume, bintangor, pine or poplar. It is the panel most furniture workshops, packaging makers and joineries buy by the container.
Huayanwood calibrates and sands every sheet on both faces so it runs cleanly through saws, edge-banders and laminating lines without double handling. Thickness runs from 2.5 mm for cabinet backs up to 25 mm for worktops and crates, with a ±0.3 mm tolerance that keeps automated production predictable.

Built to a specification, not to a price point.
Calibrated, not just sanded
Calibration planes the whole sheet to a uniform thickness. Cheaper panels are only sanded, which leaves hills and valleys that show up as glue-line failure on laminating lines.
Face veneers selected per order
Okoume for a clean paint finish, bintangor for a warm red tone, pine for knot character. Tell us the end use and we match the face — not every buyer needs the same look.
E1 as standard, WBP optional
MR (E1) glue covers indoor furniture and packaging. For humid workshops or export crates that sit at sea, we upgrade to WBP melamine at a small premium.
Container-optimised packing
Panels are strapped on marked pallets with edge protectors, so a 40HQ can be unloaded by two people with a hand truck in under an hour.
Where it is used
12–18 mm for sides and shelves; 3–5.2 mm for backs and drawer bottoms.
Cheaper grades with poplar face for export packing that still meets ISPM-friendly plywood rules.
Painted or laminated panels for counters, displays and wall linings.
3.6 mm and 5.2 mm skins over stabilised cores.
Lightweight 9–12 mm panels for non-load-bearing partitions.

Frequently asked
Anything not covered? Send the specification and we will answer in writing.
Ask a question →What is the difference between commercial plywood and plywood-sheets grade?
In practice the terms overlap. On this site, commercial plywood refers to the standard 4×8 ft furniture-and-packaging panel, while our multi-size plywood page covers the same panel in 4×9 ft and 4×10 ft formats for taller panelling runs.
Which face veneer should I choose for painting?
Okoume and poplar faces take paint with the least grain raise. Bintangor and pine show more character and are better for clear lacquer where the wood look is wanted.
Is E1 glue enough for furniture exported to the EU?
E1 (EN 717-1) remains the legal baseline for formaldehyde emissions in most EU markets. If your customer specification asks for E0, we can supply selected thicknesses on request.
What is the MOQ?
One 20GP container, which is roughly 22 m³ or about 1,300 sheets of 9 mm. Mixed thicknesses and face species can be loaded in the same container.
How fast can you load after confirmation?
Standard lead time is 20 days from deposit for a full container of stock thicknesses. Peak season (March–June) can add a week — book early.
